The Kit Eastlake Western Heritage Fund is accepting applications for 2011 scholarships.
The scholarship is presented in memory of the late Kit Eastlake, a local cowboy and poet who was involved in numerous horse, ranch and rodeo activities. Scholarships are awarded annually to one or more graduating seniors from the Fountain Valley area, who demonstrate an appreciation of their western heritage.
Consideration is based on a broad range of activities such as ranching, 4-H, rodeo, western music, art or poetry.
The deadline for applications is April 1. For more information, contact Sparky or Netty Eastlake at 683-4550.
