Auditions for Summer Musical are May 31

Auditions for the Widefield Parks and Recreation’s production of “Guys & Dolls” are scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. May 31 in the Mesa Ridge High School choir room.

The musical will showcase our amazing local talent,” a spokesperson said. “High school and college students can join as actors, stage hands and technicians”

3rd Annual Community Yard Sale June 3

Widefield Parks & Recreation’s 3rd Annual Community Yard Sale is scheduled for 8 a.m.-Noon Saturday, June 3.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Do some spring cleaning, gather your goods and make a little money at the same time,” a spokesperson said. “Register and pay for your spot by May 24 and it’s only $10 per spot. You can choose to sell in the Parks & Rec parking lot or at your home. All registered yard sale locations will be published throughout the community and this newspaper.”

Three Free Movie Nights This Summer at Pi-Ute Park

Three free movies nights are scheduled for this summer at Pi-Ute Park located at the intersection of Holly and Main Streets in Security.

The movies are scheduled for Friday June, July 7, and Aug. 4. The movies will start at dusk (approximately 8:15 p.m.)

“Grab a blanket and join Widefield Parks & Recreation for a family-friendly movie under the stars,” a spokesperson said. “Bring the entire family to this free, fun-filled night at the Pi-Ute Park.”
