Former Mesa Ridge Coach Paul Mileto Takes Over FFCHS Head Coaching Position

Paul Mileto

Former Mesa Ridge High School boys' head basketball coach Paul Mileto has taken over similar duties at Fountain-Fort Carson High School.

Mileto, who has taught at Fountain Middle School for 18 years, served four years as head coach of the Grizzlies. During his tenure, he led Mesa Ridge to two Sweet 16 appearances and under his leadership Mesa Ridge captured its first league title in school history.

Mileto replaces Greg Williams who is stepping down after six years at the helm of the FFCHS program. Principal Patrick Krumholz commented that while Coach Williams will be missed, he is excited to have a coach with such a winning background take over the program:

"Coach Mileto has a great track record as a coach, and he is the right role-model to lead our student athletes," he said. "We are excited that he will be leading our program."

Mileto said he was excited to take on this challenge:

"First of all I want to thank District 3 and Mesa Ridge for the opportunity to coach high school basketball for the past four years," he said." I am extremely honored and excited to be a part of the community and tradition surrounding FFCHS. I am looking forward to coaching in the district that I teach in and bringing my services back to District 8 as the head men's basketball coach at FFCHS."
