Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp July 31-Aug. 4 at Faith Lutheran Church

Pastor Rick Mensing and the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church in Security invite children and youth from churches throughout the Fountain Valley to participate in a Bible-based Day Camping Week.

With a goal of 100 campers, Faith Lutheran Church, 315 Security Blvd, is offering Christian day camping with the theme “Following Jesus’ Lead.” Junior Camp and Teen Camp will be offered from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4. There will be a “pool party” on Friday.

The camps are for youth entering kindergarten through 12th grade. Experienced young adult counselors, trained at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp and equipped with skills in Bible study, worship, arts and crafts, first aid, recreation and working with young people, will lead the program assisted by volunteers from Faith Lutheran Church. Campers will enjoy age-appropriate fun and recreation including games, crafts and music related to the camp worship message of living our lives in joy following the lead of Jesus.

Based on traditional Christian Bible teaching, this experience is for all students regardless of church affiliation.

“A $10 donation per child to cover snacks and craft materials is always appreciated but there is no cost to register,” a spokesperson said.

Advance registration closes Monday, July 24, but can be accomplished the first day if the child’s medical information is available. Forms are available at the church office or in the grey box outside the front entrance. For more info., to volunteer or have a registration form mailed to you, contact Kim Zverblis at the church office, 392-5076. Potential participants can also register online at (on the calendar page).
