Ronald Furstenau, Ph.D., a professor of chemistry at the United States Air Force Academy brought a Chemistry Magic Show to delight and educate students with science in action.

The "Chemistry Magic Show" is presented by USAFA to local schools, children's organization, and community gatherings with the goal of getting kids excited about the wonders of chemistry.

At Aragon, the presentation consisted of a series of chemical demonstrations used in the classrooms at USAFA.  There were explosions, color changes, and lots of other experiments that helped kids understand what chemistry is all about.

Many students were even called up to the demonstration table to help with the experiments.

The USAFA Department of Chemistry presents the "Magic of Chemistry" over 100 times per year as part of the USAFA community outreach efforts.
