The City of Fountain is pleased to announce a major refresh of the city's internet presence today, Oct. 11.

The city is proud to launch a brand new website, http://www.fountaincolorado.org, and has also consolidated and updated its Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages into one official City of Fountain page for each venue.

According to City Manager Scott Trainor, this is the first serious update of the city website in over a decade, and is the first ever consolidation and update of city social media pages.

The new website provides extensive and current information to the community regarding city affairs, to include the latest content on community events, recent news in the area, and calendars for city meetings. The website also offers special content features for military families and newcomers to the area, as well as interesting facts about Fountain and the Pikes Peak region.

The website, Facebook and Twitter pages will function in a synchronized manner, providing easy access to what is happening in Fountain. Visit and bookmark http://www.fountaincolorado.org, and follow the City on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube beginning October 11th!

According to Fountain’s Community Engagement Manager John Trylch, the city’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages will function in a synchronized manner, providing easy access to what is happening in Fountain.

He explained creating the new website was an effort on the part of the entire city, with all departments working hard to contribute to the site.

“Particular recognition goes to IT Manager Paul Lavelle and Website Project Manager Mark Huffman,” he added. Trylch also was very involved with designing the new site.

He explained the new website focuses on Fountain’s All American small town feel, the natural beauty and open space here and also that Fountain is a vibrant and growing city. It is intended to promote the city’s brand and pride. There are many features for citizens searching for information as well as a special area for members of the area’s military community.

IT Manager Lavelle explained the launch coincides perfectly with National Cyber Security Awareness Month, intended to educate the public about protecting their property, business and family’s information.

Visit and bookmark http://www.fountaincolorado.org, and follow the city on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube beginning today.
