D-3 Community Walking for the WIN on Saturday to Promote Ballot Measures

October 11, 2017

The Widefield Information Network (WIN) is hosting a community walk to inform voters about ballot measures 3A & 3B this Saturday. The measures will provide funding for Widefield School District 3.

Over 200 volunteers will “Walk for the WIN”, delivering nearly 10,000 pieces of literature to inform voters why we need their support.

“It’s been 16 years since our community asked voters for a mill levy, and over 20 years since asking to support a bond,” District 3’s Director of Communication Samantha Briggs said.

Community members, district staff, and students will gather at 8 a.m. Saturday morning in the student parking lot near the football stadium behind Widefield High School.

“There will be entertainment, light refreshments, a brief pep talk and away we will go!” Briggs added. “One Team. One Goal. One Community.”
