Stephanie Luck has formally announced her candidacy for State Senate District 2. The Colorado-native is a small business owner, licensed attorney and Alliance Defending Freedom Blackstone Fellow who has used her conservative understanding of law and policy to improve the lives of people across the State.

She said she looks forward to meeting with constituents in the many communities that comprise District 2 including Fountain and southern El Paso County.

Luck, a Mesa Ride High School graduate who was valedictorian of her class, formerly resided in the Fountain Valley area. She now lives in Penrose, an unincorporated community in Fremont County, where she serves as President of the Penrose Chamber of Commerce and as a Community Board Member with the Eastern Fremont Communities that Care Program. She also works behind the scenes to advance other community initiatives.

"Stephanie is a strong leader, full of creative ideas," said Tina Heffner, President of the Penrose Park & Recreation District. "I have seen her bring people of varying perspectives together to develop solutions that everyone can happily embrace. She works tirelessly for people because she genuinely cares about what they are facing. She is not a political insider, but she would make an outstanding public servant."

"I am a builder," Luck says. "I am a builder, not of buildings, but of communities. I am passionate about creating environments where people can thrive. As the State of Colorado continues to burden us with increased regulations, inefficient spending, and unhealthy policies, it becomes difficult for individuals to innovate and build. I want to remove these barriers."

Luck spent seven years living and working abroad and through that experience has developed a unique appreciation for the blessings we enjoy as Americans. She also understands how important it is for each person to embrace a passion and persevere to build something of value.

"One of the amazing realities of living in America is that each of us can take initiative to change our surroundings. We do not have to depend on the government. If we care about something, we can do something," said Luck.
