About Fountain Valley News
We are the "hometown" community newspaper for the greater Fountain Valley area, serving southern El Paso County including the City of Fountain, Colorado, and unincorporated communities of Security and Widefield.
Published every Wednesday since 1958, we keep you informed about issues of local importance from Fountain's city government, El Paso County leadership news as well as School Districts 3 and 8. Featuring commentaries from local and state leaders, we also highlight community activities, business, library and church news and much more.
The News staff has been dedicated to being involved in the community in variety of capacities over the years, including membership in the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce. We are also a member of the Colorado Press Association. The newspaper was the official sponsor of City of Fountain's participation in the All-America City competition in 2002, when it earned the prestigious title of being named an All-America City by the National Civic League. It was also an original sponsor of the Fountain Valley Relay for Life.
The newspaper can be delivered to your front porch (in most areas) by newscarriers. Mail subscriptions and new on-line subscriptions are also available.
