Fountain Fire Responds to RV Fire South of Fountain

Fountain Fire Department responded to a RV fire at approximately 10 a.m. Sunday on southbound I-25, just south of exit 128.

According to FFD Fire Chief Darin Anstine, a man was driving his RV southbound when it just died. He tried to get it started but couldn't so he decided to ride his bike to Wal-Mart to get parts. He then looked back and the RV was on fire.

Anstine said it took about 30 minutes to put out the fire. Two FFD engines and tender truck from Hanover responded. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour and a half.
