Back to Music Time at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church

August 9, 2017

It’s that time again; time to make music. We hope everyone has been having a great summer!

Practices for all the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church music groups will begin again. If you haven’t participated in the music ministries yet or it’s been awhile, please feel free to join us. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our youngest group of singers has already begun their new season. They meet around 10:45 a.m. every Sunday after church. All children are welcome to attend and sing their praises to the Lord.

Good Shepherd Ringers is a three plus octave hand bell choir. All experience and ability levels are welcome to join. Some music reading is an asset to participation in this group although not necessary. Rehearsals for this group are from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday evenings, beginning Aug.30.

The Chancel Choir helps to lead most of the worship services. Experience and music reading is not necessary, if you can hum or sing a few bars you are welcome to join us. Rehearsals will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30.

In order to kick off our Wednesday nights and welcome any new potential members and their families, members of the Chancel Choir and Good Shepherd Ringers will be having a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Fountain Creek Regional Park. Please bring a main, side or dessert dish.

For questions regarding Good Shepherd Ringers and the Chancel Choir, please see Jennifer Montgomery. If you have any questions about the Children’s Choir, please see Julie Seibert.
