4th Infantry Division Band Performs Holiday Concert, Fort Carson Hosts Holiday Tree Lighting

December 6, 2017

Fort Carson and the 4th Infantry Division will celebrate the holiday season by combining the tree lighting ceremony and the annual holiday concert. The 4th Infantry Division Band will host its annual holiday concert on December 10, at 4 p.m. at the William Reed Special Events Center on Fort Carson.

The 4th Inf. Div. Band includes a traditional big band, a jazz combo, a rock band, a woodwind quintet, and two brass ensembles that will take the stage during the concert to play their versions of some popular holiday tunes like “Silent Night” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. Fun animations and snippets of beloved holiday films will add to the cheer.

This year’s concert is titled “Timeless Tidings” and will also celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 4th Infantry Division. Following the concert, Fort Carson’s Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host a tree-lighting ceremony and a reception for all attendees. More information about the tree-lighting and other holiday festivities is available at

The concert and tree-lighting are free and open to members of the general public. The only access for non-Department of Defense identification card holders is Gate 1 (access off of Highway 115).
