Writing Workshop Forming in Fountain

A writing workshop is forming in Fountain, to be facilitated by Julianza Shavin. Workshops will be held at her house on Ermel Road, near the intersection with Link Road.

The workshop is for sharing and inspiring, and also receiving feedback and critique, if desired (recommended. All genres are welcome. Shavin has facilitated many writing groups addressing fiction, non-fiction, memoir, essay, poetry, etc. She has received four Pikes Peak Arts Council grants since 2008, and PPAC’s juries named her Performance Poet of the Year (2011) and Page Poet (ditto), 2012. She is winner of the Mark Fischer Poetry Prize (2016) and also publishes short stories. Her artwork appears in literary magazines, sometimes as covers. A former full-time journalist and licensed professional proofreader/editor who is still freelancing, she is at work on a fifth book of poems.
