Faith Lutheran Church Offers Bible-based Day Camping Week

April 25, 2018

With a goal of 50 campers, Pastor Rick Mensing and the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church, 315 Security Blvd announce Christian day camping with the theme “This Changes Everything” to the children and youth of the Fountain Valley.

Beginning June 11 and going through June 15, Bible study, games and crafts and music will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church with a snack provided. Children must be at least 4 years old, potty-trained and able to be separated from parent. There is no charge to attend though a donation for supplies is always appreciated. There will be a wrap-up presentation for family and friends the evening of Thursday June 14.

Experienced young adult counselors trained at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp and equipped with skills in Bible study, worship, arts and crafts, first aid, recreation and working with young people will lead the program assisted by volunteers from Faith Lutheran Church. Participants will be divided to ensure enjoyment of age-appropriate activities and new friends. Campers will participate in games, crafts and music related to the camp worship message—“ it is a gift of God that you have been saved by faith”-- highlighting what it means to be faithful, humble, merciful and generous to those around us for Christ’s sake. Based on traditional Christian teaching, this camping is for all students regardless of their own church denomination.

Advance registration closes, Sunday, June 3 but can be accomplished the first day if the child’s medical information is available. Forms are available at the church office or in the grey box outside the front entrance. With questions; to volunteer; or to have a registration form mailed to you, please call Kim Zverblis at the Faith Lutheran Church office 392-5076.
