Lisa Locke gets so much joy out of working as a bus monitor for a bus full of preschoolers at Conrad Early Learning Center. She has one preschooler, in particular, who rides on her bus named Jordin. Jordin has dreams of becoming a police officer, and is always writing Lisa pretend "tickets" for various fake, and often funny, violations. Jordin also always has the cutest shoes on any given day, ranging from little bunny shoes to purple fuzzy boots, to shoes of just all colors. Whenever Jordin boards the bus, Miss Lisa runs to see what shoes she is wearing that day. She showers Jordin with attention, pretending to grab the shoes, claiming she can put them on a "shoe stretcher" to make them fit her adult feet. This week, in the spirit of her future job aspirations in policing, Jordin wrote Miss Lisa the wonderful pretend ticket pictured at right. Miss Lisa said she treasures this gift and relationships like this one with Jordin, and is thankful to be able to be a part of her students' lives each and every day.
