Retirement Celebration for Beloved Fountain Fire Chief Darin Anstine is Saturday

Patricia St. Louis

When the City of Fountain's Firehouse #1 was built a few years ago, Mayor Jeri C. Howells and the Fountain City Council surprised Fire Chief Darin Anstine by dedicating the new building in his honor for his years and years of exemplary leadership and service in the community. Chief Anstine, pictured above in front of the firehouse, is retiring this week.

Friends of retiring Fountain Fire Chief Darin Anstine are hosting a retirement reception this Saturday, May 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fountain KOA Campground's Legacy Hall, 8100 Bandley Drive.

All are invited to attend and help celebrate Chief Anstine's 32 years of service in Fountain. Light snacks and drinks will be served. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend. Visitors are asked to park on Bandley Drive.
