Juniper Titmouse

The Juniper Titmouse can be quite entertaining.

Some names say it all. The Juniper Titmouse does for sure. This tiny little songbird with its tufted head and long tail may look bigger than it really is. From the Chickadee family of birds, this little guy is about the size of a small mouse and will be found in the Juniper and Pinyon trees. These images were taken at the Garden of the Gods on Juniper Way Loop. The Juniper Titmouse is a plain gray bird with prominent black eyes.

Because they will be found in the Juniper and Pinyon trees, the Juniper Titmouse is limited to be in elevations between 2,000 to 8,000 feet. For El Paso County,...
