James Marcel St. Louis

James Marcel St. Louis, 60, of Brownsville, California passed away May 26, 2018 at Rideout Hospital in Marysville, California where he was being treated for pneumonia and diabetes complications. He was formerly of Widefield.

A celebration of life took place Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Security, CO with Paul Darrow and Gary St. Louis officiating. Holycross Memorial Services in Yuba City, California handled arrangements. Cremation took place June 7.

James was born May 9, 1958 at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut to Ronald Norman St. Louis and Emily Rose Benway St. Louis.

James spent much of his childhood in Germany, Massachusetts and Fort Lee, Virginia, before moving with his family to Widefield in 1973. He graduated from Widefield High School in 1976 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Denver Technical College. He served briefly in the U.S. Navy, and later worked as a truck driver before having to retire due to injuries. He was disabled.

He was married to Sherry Coleman July 4, 1993 at their home in Marysville, California. They met when both were working at Montgomery Wards in Yuba City, California.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; his mother, Emily St. Louis of Widefield, CO; brothers Larry, Frank, Gary, Ray and Roger and a sister, Nancy; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Also surviving are two brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws from the Coleman family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; his father-in-law, Joseph Coleman; his mother-in-law, Harriett Coleman, and one brother-in-law, David.
