Fire Danger, Summer Fun, Primary Election June 26

I pray all are doing well and enjoying your week.  I again wanted to remind everyone about the high fire threat we have in the region due to hot, dry conditions.  The "416 Fire" north of Durango, and others in Colorado highlight the continued vigilance needed by all residents this summer and fire season.

In response to the high threat conditions in the southern part of the county and the high wind conditions which have resulted in extreme fire weather, the Sheriff's office last week ordered Stage II Fire Restrictions for all of the unincorporated areas of El Paso County.  Under Stage II...
