What the House Wren lacks in size, it makes up for in song. The House Wren is a very small songbird with a song that beautifully travels through the air from sunrise to sunset. The House Wren has a very wide range of habitat and can be found from Southern lowland swamp grounds to high mountain forests. The Wren in these pictures were taken last weekend in Cuchara, Colorado at about 8500 feet. As its name suggest, it was nesting inside the wall of a cabin.
