Voters Urged to Return Ballots Early

Early Voters Should Use Drop-Off Boxes After June 20

Voters are urged to return their ballot early, before Primary Election Day, June 26. The Clerk and Recorder’s Office also strongly recommends voters to return their ballot at one of the 15 ballot drop-off locations after June 20.

With a week before the election, ballots that are mailed may not be received by the deadline of 7 p.m. June 26. Ballots postmarked but not received by the Clerk’s Office before the deadline will not be counted. It is important for voters to remember to legibly sign the back of their ballot. Unaffiliated Voters who received two ballots can only vote and return one.

“Mail ballots give voters time to learn about candidates, decide on their choice, and then vote in the comfort of their home,” said Clerk and Recorder Chuck Broerman. “It is tremendously helpful for our office when voters return their ballot early. We are able to release results more quickly on election night and that benefits everyone anxious to know the outcome of the races.”

With 15 ballot drop-off locations within 15 minutes of 98.6% of voters, all with secure 24/7 access and six that are drive-up, returning a ballot couldn’t be easier. An interactive map available on http://www.EPCVotes.com under the tab Return My Ballot shows locations for the ballot drop-off boxes and Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPC). Voters can type in their address and search for the nearest to them.

There are five VSPCs (all Clerk and Recorder’s offices) currently open and two more locations will be operating at Monument Town Hall and The Independence Center, Monday and Tuesday, June 25-26. Voters who need to get a replacement ballot, update their registration, register to vote, or vote in person may do so at any of the VSPCs.
