We just completed the voting in the Colorado primary and the statistics are worrisome. Only 36% of those registered to vote in El Paso County voted. I know it was "only" a primary but it was really important because it chooses the only people you can vote for in the November general election. In House District 21, Widefield, Security, Fountain and Turkey Creek the numbers are even worse. Only 10,075 ballots were cast of the 36,470 voters.

Democrats- 2,789 (27.86%)

Republicans- 4,996 (49.59%)

Unaffiliated- 2,290 (22.73%)
