A colorful juvenile Bald Eagle

The majestic Bald Eagle. Hard to believe that the eagle in these photos is only a few months old. A juvenile Bald Eagle can easily be mistaken for an adult Golden Eagle or a large hawk. If you make a trip around the Fountain Valley School and Big Johnson Reservoir, you will have a chance at seeing this beauty learning to hunt.

For the past couple of weeks, this juvenile has been spotted flying and perched by the reservoir practicing its skills to hunt. There are also a couple of Red Tail Hawks over there taking hunting lessons as well. This particular Juvenile Bald Eagle was born in a ne...
