Fountain Valley students return to school next week and drivers are reminded school zones will be active. Fountain Police Department personnel, including Corporal Galen Steele, pictured at right with a LIDAR Gun, will be patrolling the school zones making sure drivers follow the traffic laws.

Monday, Aug. 13, marks the beginning of another school year for District 8 students, and Wednesday, Aug. 15 for District 3. Fountain Police Department encourages everyone to pay close attention to their speed when travelling near the schools and neighborhood bus stops. Also, watch for pedestrians and crossing guards when dropping off or picking up your student(s). Remember to be alert as children may run out from between parked cars or other blind spots.
