News Office Moving to New Temporary Location This Week

August 22, 2018

Because of work that must be done to the News office, related to recent hailstorms, your hometown newspaper staff will be working out of a temporary new location starting this week.

We have moved into our temporary new home at 713 Dale in Fountain (next door to the C’MON Inn.) As of presstime we were still waiting on phones/internet connections at the new place. We understand the frustrations of so many local residents and business people who have also been dealing with leaking roofs, water damage and so much more.

This week’s paper is a little smaller than normal as we were working very hard to get the paper done while also dealing with everything related to the move, not to mention most of the staff is dealing with illness we fear is related to mold exposure in the building.

Because of these issues and limited space in this paper, we have had to hold stories related to the recent EPA summit and last week’s Fountain City Council meeting. Look for those in next week’s edition.

We also had to hold our popular “Birds of El Paso County” feature by local bird whispherer Doug Harling. You can go to our paper’s facebook page to see it there in the meantime. We wish to thank everyone for your patience during the move. See related “Patricia’s Point” column.
