Fall Festival Weekend Starts Sunday Night

New Parade Route, New Location for Breakfast

The Fall Festival Weekend in the Fountain Valley kicks off Sunday night at the Fountain Fire Department’s Annual Dinner and Dance, from 5-9 p.m. at Metcalfe Park. Dinner is from 5-7 and DJ/dancing from 7-9 p.m.

Events on Monday begin with the FFCHS JROTC Pancake Breakfast which will be served at a new location- Aragon Elementary School, 211 S. Main St. (See related ad on page 2.)

The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 49th Annual Fountain Fall Festival parade follows at 10 a.m. starting at the north end of Main Street (new route this year.) This year’s festival theme is “Best of Fountain Valley,” and this year’s grand marshals are Florence Paradise and her sister, Peggy King. After the parade there will be an afternoon of entertainment, food and more at Metcalfe Park. The deadline to submit a booth application is Aug. 30. Parade line-up will be along El Paso Street.
