Fountain-Fort Carson Footballers Lose Shootout with Eaglecrest

The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans and the Eaglecrest Raptors lit up the Trojans' home opener with 96 points, with the Raptors prevailing 55-41 last Friday night in Fountain.

Eaglecrest got on the board first, with 10:04 left in the first quarter. The Trojans answered with a 33- yard Tristan Owen field goal.

Eaglecrest scored again and the Trojans answered with an eight-yard run by Gregory Horton. Owen added his first of five extra points to close the first quarter with Trojans trailing Eaglecrest, 14-10.

In the second quarter, Eaglecrest had three touchdowns to the Trojans' one touch...
