Long-Time Fountain Valley Residents Peggy King and Florence Paradise Honored as FFF Parade Marshals

Fall Festival Grand Marshals Peggy King and Florence Paradise are Queens for the Day... Fountain Fall Festival Parade Grand Marshals Peggy King, left, and Florence Paradise visited with park attendees while relaxing at the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce booth during the Fall Festival at Metcalfe Park on Labor Day.

Well-known sisters Peggy King and Florence Paradise, who are natives of Fountain, joined a select group of past and present local residents when they served as parade marshals for the 49th Annual Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival Parade held on Labor Day.

As parade marshals, the sisters had the prestigious honor of leading the annual Fall Festival parade which consisted of over 50 entries this year. Each year, local residents are nominated for the honor of being parade marshals and they were wonderfully surprised when contacted by Chamber President Tom Downing to let them...
