District 3 Community Day Parade/Rivalry Football Game is Saturday

The annual District 3 Community Day Parade and rivalry football game will take place this Saturday, starting at 10:30.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Superheroes are Everywhere.” The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Big R, 165 Fontaine Blvd. in Widefield. The parade will head west on Fontaine, north on Security Blvd., then right on Main Street, right on Norman, left on Widefield Dr., and then right on Norman finishing at C.A. Foster Stadium.
A cookout to benefit Fountain Valley Scholars and the Widefield Parks and Recreation Fall Festival to benefit the Aaron Gutierrez Scholarship Fund will be held from 11:30-1 p.m. at the stadium. For $4, attendees can enjoy a hot dog, drink and chips at the cookout.
The annual football game between Mesa Ridge and Widefield kicks off at 1 p.m. Admission to the game (which includes entrance into the fall festival) is $3.
