A Cajun Thanks- giving

I am in Louisiana, in a small town where my father and his wife live and have for around 40 years. The trees are green and some are of the "palm" variety, others are the same as you might have at your house. The air is heavy with humidity and when it warms up it smells green. No jacket is needed, a sweater is peeled off by mid-morning and spending the day outside is a glorious idea. So, we did.
