Volunteers Step Up to Ensure Wild Horses Have Water This Summer and Fall

Concerns for Safety of Motorists and Horses Grazing Along the Highway Spurs Efforts to Secure a Fence

These horses in Kanoa's band were playing in the water at one of the few ponds in the basin that was filled up during a downpour of rainwater during this year's drought.

Last October I noticed these four horses in River's band on the wrong side of Highway 318, down in the sagebrush. Had I been driving by during the night I never would have noticed them.
