What's With all the Hawks?

When I first started my backyard habitat, I hated to see the hawks come. I spend a great deal of money feeding the yard birds and I didn't like seeing some pesky hawk come in for a free meal. I've changed my feelings over the years. Now I love seeing them and they give me some great photo opportunities. All of the images from this week's column were taken in my backyard habitat. It's a good thing I've learned to like them because studies show that the yard hawks' numbers are increasing dramatically.
