Prior to Valentine's Day, VFW Post 6461 Americanism Chairman Belinda Skibba teamed up with some teachers and students at Mesa Elementary School in Fountain to make 150 Valentine's Day cards for veterans. The cards were delivered to veterans at the Pueblo VA Community Living Center and the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Florence. The hand sign on the cards means "I Love You." The students make the cards for the veterans every year.
