District 3 Students, Teacher Honored At Art Business Education Consortium 40th Anniversary Awards Luncheon

Receiving the Mary Lou Anderson Scholarship Award of $100 each toward art enrichment opportunities were Jayden Lee, Widefield Elementary 5th grade student (right) and Christian Thew, Watson Junior High School 8th grade student.

Widefield School District 3 recently had two students and a teacher receive awards at the Art Business Education Consortium 40th anniversary awards luncheon held at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs. 

Two students won The Mary Lou Anderson Scholarship Award - $100 each toward art enrichment opportunities. Mary Lou was a founder of the ABE Consortium.  They are Jayden Lee - Widefield Elementary (5th grade) and Christian Thew - Watson Junior High School (8th grade).

Katherine Whatley, art teacher at Widefield Elementary, was awarded the Distinguished Visual/Literary Arts Teacher award....
