* Rural Area Meal Program

or RAMP, is for individuals age 60 and over who live in El Paso County. This program is for older adults who are not able to get to the nearest congregate meal site. This includes individuals needing assistance due to physical, emotional, or social impairment. Please leave a message at 719-520-6471 with your name and phone number; we will return your call.

* Transportation - (By Appointment Only)

For seniors 60+ who live in the Fountain Valley area. Transportation provided to medical appointments, shopping, personal business, to the senior center, special outings and other destinations in El Paso County. Call 520-6472 at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements.

GOOD TIME DAY TRAVELERS TRIPS:

* The Day Travelers next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 11.

* Monday, June 10. Ft. Logan Cemetery with lunch after. Bus fee is $16. Bus leaves St. Dominic’s at 8:30 a.m. Registration ends June 3.

* Sunday, July 14. Rockies vs. Cincinnati Reds. Tickets $12 each. Bus fee is $18. Bus leaves St. Dominic’s at 10:30 a.m. *Registration ends June 2.

* Rio Grande Scenic Railroad concert series. Saturday, June 29. Ticket includes ride, concert (Michael Martin Murphey) and brunch on the way to the concert. Ticket is $115 for 1st class and bus fee is $35. Bus leaves the senior center at 6:30 a.m. Registration ends May 28.

* Sat., July 6. Art and Music Festival at America the Beautiful Park with lunch at the park. Several food vendors will be there. The festival is FREE. Bus fee is $10. Bus leaves St. Dominic’s at 10:00 a.m. Registration ends June 24.

* Mon., July 8. Ft. Logan Cemetery with lunch after. Bus fee is $16. Bus leaves St. Dominic’s at 8:30 a.m. Registration ends July 1.

* Sun., July 14. Rockies vs. Cincinnati Reds. Tickets $12 each. Bus fee is $18. Bus leaves St. Dominic’s at 10:30 a.m. Registration ends June 21.

Bingo Anyone?

We have several Bingo events each month. Come down and join us! Events start at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6; and Mondays, June 10 and 17.

Father’s Day Car Show!

Father’s Day Car Show. Friday, June 14. The annual car show beginning at 10 a.m. and Barb Bragdon will be providing the musical entertainment at 11a.m. with karaoke to follow at 12:30 p.m. This event is always very popular so mark your calendars today. Come down and enjoy the show and stay for lunch. A special thank you to the Vintage Motor Car Club of America for sharing their beautiful cars!

Technology/Computer Class on Fridays

Our Technology/Computer class is now at 10 a.m. Fridays. If you have questions about your Smartphone, Ipad or computers come down on Friday mornings.

Pinochle Anyone?

Do you enjoy playing Pinochle? We will be having a Pinochle tournament a t 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 3.

Biscuits and Gravy

The senior center will be serving Biscuits and Gravy at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 12. Come on down and get a nice hot breakfast & juice or coffee for $3.

Game Day and Potluck

June Game Day! 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat., June 22. This event is a potluck and $3 per person. Bring your family and friends with you for a fun day of cards and games!

Visit the Thrift Shoppe

Our Kittie Paster Thrift Shoppe is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mon.-Fri. and is located at 5725 Southmoor Dr. next to the Fountain Valley Senior Center.

Stop by and see our updated Thrift Shoppe. We have brand new & gently used items and more coming in all the time. We have a .50 cent bargain room and sell $3 clothes bags daily. We accept donations Monday through Friday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. *All proceeds help support the mission of the FVSC.
