Man Arrested Following Shooting Saturday

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Fountain Police Department officers responded to the 800 block of Marshall Dr regarding several reports of a man shooting in the street.

According to a FPD spokesperson, when officers arrived on scene the male was no longer shooting and was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the suspect and his wife got into an argument. During the argument, as the wife tried leaving the home, the suspect followed her and proceeded to shoot at her and into the air.

The suspect, Steven Davis, 25, was taken into custody and was transported to the Criminal Justice Center. He has been charged with several felonies including attempted 2nd degree murder.

Man Arrested After Stand-Off

On Wednesday, May 22, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Fountain Police responded to the 500 block of Windsor Ln. in reference to a wanted party. As officers approached the residence, shots were fired from the house. Thankfully, no officers were injured. All surrounding residents, who were willing to leave, were evacuated. Members from Fountain Police Rapid Response Team, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Colorado Springs Police and the Metro Fugitive Task Force worked, for over seven hours, to resolve the situation peacefully. Shortly, before 11 p.m., the suspect, identified as Jason Flores, 48, exited the home and was taken into custody.
