2019 Fall Festival Applications Are Being Accepted

Theme is “The Golden Harvest”

Applications are now being accepted for parade entries and booths at Metcalfe Park in conjunction with the 50th Annual Fountain Fall Festival, sponsored by the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The festival is scheduled for Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.

The theme of this year’s festival is “The Golden Harvest” to mark the Golden Anniversary of the festival. The Harvest part of the theme comes from the fact that the festival used to serve as the kickoff to the annual area crop harvest.

The Fall Festival Weekend kicks off with the Fountain Fire Department’s annual Dinner and Dance from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Darin Anstine Firehouse 1, 212 N. Santa Fe Ave. Dinner is served from 5-7 p.m. and there is dancing from 7-9 p.m.

Monday’s activities begin at 7 a.m. with the Fountain-Fort Carson JROTC Pancake Breakfast at Aragon Elementary School.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. Parade lineup is along El Paso Street. It will proceed south on Main Street and then turn east on Ohio Ave.

Activities begin at Metcalfe Park immediately after the parade. There will be games, music, food, lots of vendors displaying their wares and informational booths.

Applications are also being accepted for Grand Marshal.

All applications are available by contacting the chamber office at 382-3190. The office, located in Fountain City Hall, 116 S. Main St., is open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Mon., Wed., & Fri. They are also available on the chamber’s Facebook page (Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce.)
