I'm starting to see my first Blue Jays of the year this week. Although Blue Jays are around all year, they never make much of an appearance in my yard until fall. Depending on how early the cooler temperatures hit, the Jays should start showing up anytime in September. If you want Jays in your yard, you will need peanuts and plenty of them.
Fall is my favorite time of year. When the night chill meets the hot days, you can count on seeing fall behavior in the birds. I love the fresh crisp air in the mornings and the sounds of Blue Jays screaming in the yard. This year doesn't seem like it...
