Good Shepherd UM Church Participates in Food Pantries

September 18, 2019

Good Shepherd United Methodist Church  of Security has been part of the community food pantries for over 25 years.

Many church members have helped provide the food service including Dorothy  Thompson, Dick Gilham,  Gene Krause,  Carol Teal, Carl Shryack, Tomas Negrette,  Beth Aytes, Adelle Cancil and  others.

The pantry has always cooperated with CARE & SHARE and clients are treated with courtesy and are grateful for the help.

Presently the Pantry is staffed by Becky VanHouse and others are  invited to volunteer.

September Sermons Focus on Gratitude

Sermons  during September  by Rev. Terrilyn Russell are focused on GRATITUDE: showing how the  Bible defines being truly grateful. All are invited to attend and share.

Worship at Good Shepherd is at 9:30 a.m. eachSunday morning. All are welcome.

Thoughts to help you through the week:

“Gratitude strengthens our  character and moral resolve, giving each of us the possibility of living peaceably and justly.  Being thankful is the essence of what it means to be alive and to know life abundantly.“ -Diana Butler Bass
