Take 'Forest Bathing Walk,' experience Japanese healing at Mueller

November is a perfect time to soak up nature at Mueller State Park by taking a “Forest Bathing Walk” with park staff.

One of the featured events in November invites visitors to slow down and immerse themselves in the Japanese nature therapy known as shinrin-yoku. It’s a form of preventive health care and healing developed in Japan in the 1980s.

On Nov. 2, Park Naturalist Carrie and Forest Therapy Guide Jane will introduce visitors to this mindful, easy wander with simple “invitations” for activities to awaken the sense...
