Fountain Creek Nature Center Hosts Annual Pumpkin Carving Party and Jack-O-Lantern Trail

Over 1,600 persons participated in the annual Pumpkin Carving Party and Jack-O-Lantern Trail events held recently at the Fountain Creek Nature Center.

The first event featured participants carving pumpkins with the pattern and tools provided for them. The 200 pumpkins were donated by Milberger Farms in Pueblo. Volunteers from Colorado Springs Utilities and KOHL's Associates pre-scooped the pumpkins for the carvers.

All the jack-o-lanterns were carefully placed along the Nature Trail for the evening event which also included marshmallow roasting, a touch table, stories at the Rabbit G...
