Wild Turkey Neighbors Call Fountain Area Their Home

This time of year as people have turkey on the brain, the site of a wild turkey walking around the neighborhood is sure to elicit humorous remarks.

These distinctive birds – often seen browsing storefronts in Security-Widefield or strolling in front of people's homes all over the Fountain Valley – are a native and common bird.

But when new residents first catch sight of one, they often take to social media with concerned posts asking if someone is missing a pet turkey.

No, they just belong – well, wherever the road leads them.
