An event celebrating the continuing legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was held Monday at the Dean Fleischer Activities Center in Fountain. This is the first time this type of event has been held in Fountain. The event was hosted by the Pikes Peak Diversity Council, partnering with the Fountain YMCA and the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce. "We've wanted to hold an event down here for a long time," Shirley Martinez, Vice President of Pikes Peak Diversity Council, said. She described the event's purpose as "bringing the community together." Music was provided by the True Spirit Baptist Church Choir (below).
