Rural Area Meal Program, or RAMP, is for individuals age 60 and over who live in El Paso County. This program is for older adults who are not able to get to the nearest congregate meal site. This includes individuals needing assistance due to physical, emotional, or social impairment. Please leave a message at 719-520-6471 with your name and phone number; and your call will be returned.

SENIOR CENTER EVENTS

Jan 21. Austin Box will be sharing stories and artifacts rereading his Native American Heritage. From 10:30-11 in the conference room.

Jan 23. Birthday Celebration at the center. We celebrate those seniors who have a birthday in January. Have lunch and stay for Bingo. The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. Frances Pucci will be performing and encouraging seniors to get up and shake their thing.

Jan 31. Travel Club Potluck. Join us as we present a tentative schedule of day trips that we will be taking in 2020. Bring something to share. Event starts at 5 p.m.

Feb 1. Game Day/Potluck. All types of games are available. Come down from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., join in the games and bring something to share.

Feb 7. Valentine Dinner and Show with Barb Bragdon. Come have dinner and enjoy a great show with Barb and her friends. Tickets, $10 for ages 12 – 90, 11 and under and Super Seniors 90+ $6.

Feb 14. During lunch, we will be having the “Not so Newlywed Show.” It will be followed by Dennis Crosser

BINGO, BINGO, BINGO: BINGO is being played every Thursday at the center. All are welcome; the fun begins at 1 p.m. Hot dogs, popcorn and sodas are available for purchase.

Community Partnerships available: The Senior Center has started offering Community Partnership programs to the Businesses of the Colorado Springs and Fountain Valley Area. If your business has a passion to serve and support Senior Programs in the Valley please contact Mark Bowers @ 719-520-6471 or 719-600-2644.

Transportation - (By Appointment Only) For seniors 60+ who live in the Fountain Valley area. Transportation provided to medical appointments, shopping, personal business, to the Center, special outings and other destinations in El Paso County. Call 520-6472 at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements.

Our Kittie Paster Thrift Shoppe is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mon.-Fri. and is located at 5725 Southmoor Dr. next to the Fountain Valley Senior Center.

Stop by and see our updated Thrift Shoppe. We have brand new & gently used items and more coming in all the time. We have a .50 cent bargain room and sell $3 clothes bags daily. We accept donations Monday through Friday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. *All proceeds help support the mission of the FVSC.

Volunteer opportunities available: The Center is looking for volunteers for the Front Office, the Thrift Store and Volunteer Drivers. Please contact Kimberly at 719-600-2644 for more Information.
