More ballot boxes open

County authorities installed one of the new ballot drop boxes at the School District 3 Federal Credit Union building. They poured concrete and installed the box on Jan 30-31, 2020. The ballot box is now operational but will remain locked until the upcoming election. School District 3 Federal Credit Union employee Denise Hunt says, "We're excited for people to be able to use it."

The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder's Office has installed nine new ballot drop boxes throughout the county, including one in Security, providing new access for voters who want to return their ballots in the 2020 election cycle.

These boxes opened Feb. 7 and are open for use 24 hours a day during active election seasons. Upcoming elections include:

Presidential Primary Election (March 3)

Primary Election (June 30)

General Election (Nov. 3)
