A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Friday to induct the new ballot box at the School District 3 Federal Credit Union, 1180 Crawford Ave., Security.El Paso County Clerk & Recorder Chuck Broerman said a few words about how the ballot box will benefit the community.

"This will be a nice addition for people who live near here," he said.

The upcoming March 3 presidential primary is less than a week away, and ballots for this election must be submitted by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
