Hundreds of items have been placed at a display near the entrance to Lorson Ranch, all for Gannon Stauch who went missing more than six weeks ago and still has not been found.
Although an arrest for his murder was made last week, there were no major updates to the case in the last several days.
His stepmother, Letecia Stauch, was arrested March 2 in South Carolina and promptly was extradited back to Colorado. She was expected back in an El Paso County court this week for a preliminary hearing, but officials have much work ahead of them.
In the meantime, numerous school districts in the Colorado Springs area have notified the public that Letecia Stauch either applied or worked for them in the recent past.
She worked as a teacher in Widefield School District 3 for several months last year.
The district sent a notification to all staff and parents in the district on Thursday.
"Letecia Stauch was a substitute teacher in the district from March to May 2019," said Samantha Briggs, WSD3 Director of Communication. "She taught at French Elementary School from August to November 2019. She left the district in November."
District 8 in Fountain said she began an application there in January but never completed it.
Authorities announced Stauch's arrest and her charges during an emotional press conference March 2. Although Gannon still has not been found after six weeks since the last sighting of him in his Lorson Ranch neighborhood, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said information they have uncovered leads them to believe he is no longer alive.
