Bears becoming active throughout Colorado

Of the 5,369 human-bear reports CPW received in 2019, one-third of those involved bears in trash

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has already received reports of bear activity in eight Colorado counties in 2020. With spring upon us, CPW reminds citizens that bears are emerging from their slumber and beginning their search for food.

And although the Fountain Valley doesn't see as many bears as the foothill regions, bears have been known to wander into this area.
