Last updated 5/6/2020 at 1:24pm

The Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging is pleased to announce the release of our Annual Senior Information and Assistance Directory (“Yellow Book”). The Yellow Book offers invaluable information on more than 800 services for older adults in El Paso, Teller, and Park counties.

This year our 2020 Yellow Book is available online for easy access at http://www.ppacg.org/yellowbook, or at no-cost for personal use or distribution. For information about acquiring or distributing the Yellow Book, contact the Senior Information and Assistance Center at 719-471-2096.

The release of the Senior Information and Assistance Directory coincides with Older Americans Month, recognized in May each year. The Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging looks forward to raising awareness about the needs and resources for seniors in our region during Older Americans Month as we strive to support older adults throughout the Pikes Peak Region.

Older Americans Month encourages us to recognize the vital role older adults play in our communities and the Yellow Book provides local senior resources and information for everyone. The Pikes Peak region is anticipating significant growth in the overall percentage of the population over age sixty when compared to many other parts of the country. Ever-increasing life expectancy nationwide will increase the need for senior services. Our goal is to help provide information and resources for older adults.

PPACG serves as the state-designated Area Agency on Aging for El Paso, Park and Teller counties. The agency administers programs and services funded through the federal Older Americans Act and the State of Colorado to give older adults what they most desire—the ability to live independently in their own homes and avoid costly institutionalization. For more information, visit http://www.ppacg.org.

The mission of the PPACG Area Agency on Aging is to help older adults by providing services and supports that empower them to remain as independent as possible in their homes and communities. PPACG Area Agency on Aging provides information on senior resources, advice and help for caregivers, advocacy assistance through the ombudsman program on senior living concerns, provides counseling and education on Medicare and more.

About the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments
