Sheriff's Office shares how use of Narcan saved overdosed man

On May 5, shortly before 2 a.m., the El Paso County Communications Center dispatched deputies to the 8400 block of Appleton Trail in The Glen neighborhood to assist with a drug overdose.
The first deputy on scene observed a male party lying on a bed, not responsive, not breathing, and with a weak pulse. The deputy administered Narcan, which allowed the male to begin breathing but was still not responsive. Due to the male’s continued weak pulse and very little to no response to the first Narcan deployment, the deputy administered a second round of Narcan. The male began breathing normal...
